Job summary

Convergint is recruiting a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Canada-wide team in Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray or Vancouver. You will support purchasing of products, supplies and equipment to ensure uninterrupted and timely supply to Convergint Technology Centre warehouses.

The role emphasizes timely documentation for the Materials Management Program and building strong relationships with vendors and customers to deliver world-class service.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Business Admin or Purchasing.
• SCMP designation is an asset.
• Minimum 2–4 years purchasing/buyer experience preferred.
• Freight forwarding and logistics experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Invite, assess, and award supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals.
• Purchase goods and services at optimal cost per specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, sales, and operations.
• Track and schedule international and domestic shipments.
• Negotiate prices, discounts, and terms with suppliers.
• Prepare RFx requests from internal teams.
• Support inventory and minimize costs.
