CAE Inc. is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to develop long-term category strategies and manage critical supplier relationships for Corporate Services.

You will lead strategic sourcing projects, coordinate with MSP partners, and drive process improvements within the Global Procurement & Supply Management team. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, including negotiations to achieve favorable TCO, and expanding supplier alliances while adopting agile, fast-track practices.

Formación

  • University degree in Supply-Chain, Business, Finance, or Engineering and/or recognized industry accreditation (ISM CPSM, CIPS, SCMP, etc.)
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
  • Proficient use of MS Office, Oracle ERP/P2P, SAP and Ariba

Responsabilidades

  • Provide strategic direction related to category management and strategic sourcing to achieve corporate objectives
  • Develop, present, and maintain subcategory strategies
  • Translate subcategory plans into a rolling 12-month pipeline in Azure DevOps for indirect procurement
  • Execute sourcing projects in line with the strategic sourcing framework
  • Conduct business reviews with strategic suppliers on a regular cadence
  • Develop and expand strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Promote GPSM value through collaboration across business units
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve lowest total cost of ownership and balanced risk

Reporting to the Category Manager, Indirect Global Procurement & Supply Management, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for Category Strategy, Strategic Sourcing, Critical Supplier Management and Stakeholder Management for Corporate Services. The candidate will develop long-term strategies aligned with key business stakeholders. The individual will also be accountable for managing and enhancing existing high-profile managed services programs, in liaison with the designated MSP partners. By joining our Global Procurement & Supply Management team, you will have the opportunity to participate in exciting activities not only from a sourcing and program management standpoint, but also in terms of process development and improvement.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction, leadership and support related to category management & strategic sourcing to achieve corporate business objectives
  • Development, presentation, and maintenance of relevant, subcategory strategies
  • Translation of subcategory plans into a rolling 12-month pipeline of strategic sourcing projects to be maintained and prioritized in Azure DevOps, the Indirect Procurement project tracking tool
  • Execution of sourcing projects in compliance with established strategic sourcing framework
  • Performance of business reviews with strategic suppliers based on an established cadence
  • Development, maintenance, and expansion of strategic relationships and alliances with key stakeholders
  • Promotion of GPSM value proposition through the identification of collaborative opportunities across various business units
  • Contract negotiations with new and/or existing suppliers, in liaison with legal and the relevant stakeholders, to accomplish lowest total cost of ownership (TCO), savings objectives and balanced risk management
  • Identification of and participation in process development and improvement initiatives focused on adoption of agile, pragmatic and fast-track principles
Minimum Qualifications
  • University degree, ideally in Supply-Chain, Business, Finance, or Engineering and/or recognized industry accreditation (ISM CPSM, CIPS, SCMP, etc.)
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
  • Proficient use of digital tools such as MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Oracle ERP/P2P, SAP and Ariba
