Purpose
Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be part of the Strategic Sourcing and Logistics department. You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Discovery Porcupine’s values, the health and safety code of conduct, and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure purchasing planning, calls for tenders and evaluation of bids;
• Ensure that the site's sourcing processes and procedures are followed;
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and construction to develop tender documents and statements of work;
• Ensure that goods and services are acquired at the most economically advantageous price and meet the specific requirements related to the work, quality criteria, and deadlines;
• Ensure that the general conditions of our agreements with communities are respected.

Training and Education

• College or university degree in one of these fields (business administration, finance, accounting, business law, sales, marketing, or appropriate professional experience);
• Valid Driver's license;
• A sourcing certification (SCMC, CSCP, CIPM, SCMP, or SCM) is an asset;
• Experience in an industrial environment or heavy industry (experience in the mining sector is an asset);
• Awareness of cultural differences and understanding of working within Indigenous communities is an asset;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills;
• Excellent practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
