Qualifications

• Postsecondary schooling in Materials Management, Operations, Purchasing, or related field.
• A certificate in purchasing from the Purchasing Management Association of Canada may be required.

Responsibilities

• Request quotations for material and services.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely responses to support deadlines.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and make pre-source recommendations.
• Negotiate to ensure best possible quality, service and total cost.
• Assist in planning and achieving cost reduction goals.
