Job summary

Belden Inc. is seeking a procurement professional to manage the regional sourcing strategy for specified materials and FG. You will ensure supply continuity, manage supplier relationships and contracts, and drive productivity improvements within the region.

Responsibilities include leading supplier negotiations, supporting NPI to bring products to market on time, and coordinating with PLM, R&D and regional teams. The role requires up to 20% travel and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years’ experience in technical/manufacturing environments (sheet metal, stamping, plastic injection, machining).
• Experience in supplier management, negotiation, risk management and project management in the telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop productivity improvement plans and execute projects to reduce costs and mitigate risk for Tijuana Raw Material, X-Mark raw material and purchased FG.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, and quarterly business reviews; maintain interaction between customer service, suppliers and shipping.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure on-time market delivery.
• Assist with customer requests (quality complaints, RFI, CoC) as required.
• Collaborate with PLM, R&D and regional plant teams for FG third party suppliers.
• Coordinate with other procurement leads for strategic alignment and global procurement support.
• Manage Phase-in / Phase-out (PIPO) processes.
• Develop and implement corrective measures to improve work methods and customer satisfaction.
• Travel up to 20%.

Job Summary

Manage the regional sourcing strategy for Tijuana Raw Material, X-Mark raw material and purchased FG. Responsible for ensuring supply continuity and on-time delivery, managing supplier relationships and contracts, supplier quality and driving productivity improvement for their assigned procurement within the region. Participating in strategy definition and implementation allowing to increase mitigation to risk. Also support NPI process to assure on-time to market.

Responsibilities

• Develop productivity improvement plan and execute projects to achieve cost reduction targets and cost avoidance targets as well as risk mitigation, for Tijuana Raw Material, X-Mark raw material and purchased FG
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), as well as managing relationships for all-assigned procurement. Maintain a solid and continuous interaction between customer service, suppliers and shipping departments and/or with any other department
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) in order to deliver products on-time to market
• Support customer requests (quality complaint, RFI, CoC) as required
• Work with PLM, R&D and regional plant teams to support request related to FG third party suppliers
• Collaborating with the other Procurement lead to provide support and ensure strategic alignments, as well as supporting the global procurement structure as needed
• Manage Phase-in / Phase-out (PIPO) processes
• Develop, recommend and implement corrective measures for ongoing improvement of work methods to maximize customer satisfaction (internal and external) and group(s) efficiency
• Travel up to 20%

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• A minimum of three (3) years’ pertinent experience in technical/manufacturing environments involving sheet metal, stamping, plastic injection, machining production and any other related processes
• Supplier management & negotiation, risk management, and project management related to telecommunications industry
• Bi-lingual in French & English preferred
