Job summary

Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in Toronto seeks a Sector Account Advisor to manage strategic relationships with market participants and large electricity customers. You will lead engagement, coordinate with senior leaders, and provide insights on market rules and initiatives to support trusted client partnerships.

You will build knowledge of markets, settlements, and programs, while delivering concise briefing notes and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Academic training in business, commerce, accounting, or engineering to understand and apply technical/economic parameters governing the energy industry and market place.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a service-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage key market participant accounts and facilitate engagement opportunities with senior leaders across the organization.
• Provide advice and guidance to market participants on market rules, obligations and processes.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of markets, settlements, programs and initiatives to support client discussions and decisions.
• Prepare briefing notes for executive meetings and maintain comprehensive account documentation.
