Job summary

The Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education (LHAE) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position at Assistant Professor rank in higher education governance and policy. Anticipated start July 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will conduct research and teaching excellence in governance, policy actors, and Indigenous governance, with an active program of publications and future research plans.

Qualifications

• PhD by appointment or shortly thereafter with record of research and teaching excellence in higher education governance and policy.
• Expertise in governance, government regulation, and policy actors in higher education.
• Evidence of research excellence through publications, statements, conferences, and referees.

Responsibilities

• Pursue innovative, independent research and develop an externally funded program.
• Teach in the Higher Education program, including Governance in Higher Education and Politics of Higher Education.
• Supervise master's and doctoral students and contribute to scholarly community and service.
• Engage with Department, OISE, and the University in academic service.
