Job summary

Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Corporation is seeking a Business Planning and Store Development Consultant to lead research and development of new initiatives for the Liquor and Cannabis Operations division. You will build business cases and monitor operating capital, revenue, budgets and KPIs for Retail Sales.

Reporting to the Director, Retail Sales, you will prepare periodic performance reports, benchmark initiatives, and coordinate action plans to address variances from budget, with a focus on

Qualifications

• A degree in business administration or accounting or equivalent.
• CPA designation completed.
• Minimum three years' experience in business analytics/financial management.
• Experience in budgeting, planning and analysis to support corporate goals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance measurement system for Liquor Operations and coordinate quarterly/annual reporting.
• Develop action plans to address performance deficiencies and communicate recommendations.
• Prepare reports on performance results of initiatives, events, promotions, etc., for management.
• Develop, monitor and report KPIs based on corporate goals and initiatives.
• Prepare store-specific KPI targets to achieve annual sales/expense goals.
• Prepare and compile documentation for store development reviews and store development business cases.
