Job summary

Texcan is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Canada to lead inventory replenishment and supplier relationships across branch locations. You will develop strategies, negotiate terms, and optimize stock levels while supporting bids and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or diploma in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory management experience.
• Experience in distribution and/or electrical industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing activities for inventory replenishment and customer order requirements.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure product availability and support business objectives.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and delivery commitments to support service and inventory goals.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key vendor partners.
• Oversee inventory replenishment activities and monitor stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Product Management, and branch teams to support customer requirements and initiatives.
• Lead and develop the Purchasing team, including performance management and succession planning.
