Job summary

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Project Manager to join the Corporate Development & Business Initiatives team in Toronto with a flexible hybrid schedule. You will manage medium-to-large initiatives, develop project plans, budgets, and governance, and lead cross-functional teams across Fidelity Canada.

The role requires a university degree, 3+ years of project management experience, and PMP or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• University degree (bachelor’s or equivalent).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience managing projects, preferably in financial services or regulated environments.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience/certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project charter and develop detailed project plans with scope, schedule, budget baselines, resource plans, quality plans and success criteria.
• Establish project communications, monitoring and control mechanisms.
• Lead and manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring deliverables are met.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; escalate as needed.
• Direct project teams in a matrix environment, clarifying roles and responsibilities.
• Implement and use reporting and change management mechanisms to manage triple constraints.
• Support vendor selection and management in partnership with procurement teams.
• Manage relationships with executive sponsors and stakeholders to align outcomes with strategic priorities.
