Job summary

Stantec in Canada seeks a Project Controls professional to support cost, schedule, forecasting and performance reporting on complex design-engineering projects. The role partners with Project Managers, Technical Leads and Finance, focusing on earned value, budgeting and baseline development in a hybrid or office-based setting across Eastern Canada.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, project management or financial accounting.
• Experience: 5+ years of related project controls, project coordination/management.
• Bilingualism with fluency in French is a strong asset; proficiency with MS Office and PM software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Monitor cost and schedule control structures (WBS) aligned with scope.
• Track project costs, labor utilization, and profitability across teams and subconsultants.
• Prepare and deliver project controls reports including variance analysis.
• Coordinate with Finance on budget changes and invoicing support.
• Support development of project schedules and risk/change governance.
