Job summary

Sanexen is seeking a Project Control Officer (PCO) for its Brossard offices. The role focuses on financial governance, cost monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across projects.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and the Finance team to keep projects within approved financial parameters. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in project controls, with strong skills in Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project controls or similar role.
• Experience in large-scale project environments (construction, infrastructure, IT, etc.).
• Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Office Suite.
• Ability to develop clear dashboards and communicate complex financial information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for each project.
• Monitor commitments, expenditures, and EAC/ETC for projects.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles and perform analyses.
• Prepare financial performance reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Identify variances and root causes; propose corrective actions.
• Prepare change requests and maintain the project change log.
• Ensure cost control practices align with policies and contracts.
