Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Produce Sourcing professional to lead weekly and seasonal buys for our retail divisions in Canada. You will influence pricing strategies, build strong vendor relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet budgets and ensure product availability.

You will work with Loblaw Brands and supply chain partners on product innovation and program sourcing for private labels, while promoting an inclusive team culture and sustainability commitments.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business or supply management; or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in a dedicated procurement, supply chain or retail merchandising role.

Responsibilities

• Source and implement weekly and seasonal product buys for baseline and promotional volume for our retail divisions.
• Influence buying strategies aligned to category playbooks and annual budget obligations.
• Build trusted relationships with vendor community and external partners.
• Lead with the Director in vendor meetings and product costing negotiations, and manage vendor fulfilment and financial performance.
• Evaluate new product or platform innovation with Loblaw Brands and retail divisions for private labels.
• Collaborate with supply chain replenishment and transport teams to resolve availability and fulfilment obstacles.
• Research industry benchmarking on costing, global sourcing strategies, and product quality specs.
• Represent the Produce category with the Sourcing Team.
• Build and lead diverse teams fostering inclusiveness and belonging.
