Job summary

JA Southern Alberta is seeking a Director, Partnerships & Programs to translate strategy into strong partnerships and sustainable regional growth in Calgary and southern Alberta. The role leads planning, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the program portfolio while expanding access and improving educator, volunteer and student experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in education, business, nonprofit leadership, community development, public administration or related field.
• Seven years of progressive program leadership and partnership experience.
• Proven ability to build relationships across sectors and translate to outcomes.
• Experience designing, scaling, evaluating programs across locations and delivery models.
• Strong financial and operational judgment, including budgets and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement JA Southern Alberta’s program strategy aligned with the plan and targets.
• Oversee the full program portfolio including classroom programs, digital learning and events.
• Identify gaps and guide responsible growth with underserved communities.
• Develop and steward partnerships with schools, post-secondary, businesses and communities.
• Lead senior programs team, set goals, budgets and performance measures.
• Ensure reporting to funders, JA Canada and the Board; manage privacy and safety policies.
