Job description

The Opportunity

You're the kind of person who sees opportunity everywhere—and knows exactly how to turn it into something meaningful.

You're a relationship builder, a strategic thinker, and someone who knows how to bring the right partners to the table. Whether you're identifying new market opportunities, negotiating win-win agreements, or collaborating with marketing to bring offers to life, you thrive on creating value—for partners, for the business, and most importantly, for our members.

You're just as comfortable diving into data as you are building strong relationships. You know how to connect the dots between market insights, member needs, and business growth—and you're always looking for ways to make the program stronger, more relevant, and more engaging.

We're looking for a Strategic Partnership Manager, Member Rewards. Could it be you?

The Team You've Been Looking For

AMA is more than a workplace; it's a family. Together, we help protect the things that matter most to our more than one-million members - everything from roadside safety to retail savings, food security to childhood well-being. And with operations that span automotive, registries, travel, insurance, and more, the opportunities to grow with us are almost limitless!

Building on a century of proud service in Alberta communities, we're passionate about making a meaningful difference in the places where we live and work. And that all begins with our people. As part of the AMA team, you'll enjoy:

  • Competitive salary and flexible benefits
  • Employer-paid retirement savings program
  • Employee-exclusive discounts on travel, insurance, memberships, and more
  • Free travel medical insurance for you and your immediate family
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Flexible work models that make sense for your lifestyle

For us, curiosity fuels innovation. We value people who are eager to explore new ideas and who are comfortable putting emerging technologies into practice. We see experience with AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar platforms as a real plus - especially when it's used to work smarter, increase efficiency, and find better ways to get things done.

Who You Are

You're equal parts strategist, negotiator, and relationship builder.

  • You have a natural ability to build and maintain strong partnerships.
  • You're highly collaborative and know how to work across teams to get things done.
  • You're data-driven and use insights to guide decisions and uncover opportunities.
  • You're a strong communicator—whether you're presenting, negotiating, or influencing.
  • You're organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • You stay on top of market trends and know how to translate them into action.
How You'll Make an Impact

Reporting to the Manager, Membership Product & Rewards, you'll play a key role in growing and evolving AMA's Member Rewards program.

  • Bridge strategy and execution across the Rewards program by deeply understanding AMA's broader association goals and translating them into high-impact partnership opportunities.
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives with clear outcomes and recommend ways to deliver value through both new and existing partner relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive partner acquisition and program growth, including negotiating agreements with new and existing partners to align with strategic objectives.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with partners to drive engagement and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with marketing to bring offers to life through campaigns and member communications.
  • Use data and market insights to identify trends, target segments, and optimize program performance, including developing member personas and buying patterns to inform strategy.
  • Deliver meaningful, relevant offers that enhance member experience and loyalty.
