Job summary

PDAC in Toronto, Ontario, seeks a Manager, Policy and Regulatory Affairs in a hybrid role. You will coordinate operations, develop program content, and liaise between the Director and Policy Analysts to advance strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Environmental Studies, Geoscience, Engineering).
  • 5–10 years in policy analysis, advocacy, and/or government relations.
  • Management experience navigating complex policy issues.
  • Experience supervising staff, analysts, or project teams.
  • Understanding of federal legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Familiarity with capital markets, financial disclosures, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of land use, conservation and protection strategies.
  • Direct experience in mineral exploration or mining is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and editing communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-project management.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Translate complex information into clear policy positions and materials.
  • Flexibility to leverage technology to improve efficiency.
  • French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily team operations and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Supervise and develop Policy Analysts; support workload planning.
  • Support policy development, prepare briefing notes and submissions.
  • Coordinate communications across policy positions and teams.
  • Lead Lands and Regulations portfolio planning and committee work.
  • Represent PDAC at conferences and stakeholder events.
  • Research policy issues and translate them into clear materials.
  • Prepare regular updates tracking department goals.
