Job summary

Western University is seeking a Manager, Restricted and Endowed Funds to lead accounting for endowed and expendable funds and to provide critical financial leadership within Financial Services. The role drives reporting, forecasting and risk mitigation in a complex not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Business Management/Administration
• Chartered Professional Accountant
• 7 years of financial accounting experience including financial statement preparation
• 3 years experience leading teams and projects
• Experience in a public sector or educational institution preferred
• In-depth knowledge of financial budgeting, financial analysis and planning
• Knowledge of accounting standards for not-for-profits and complex reporting

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accounting support for endowed and expendable funds to enable stewardship and accountability.
• Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, expenditure monitoring and cash flow management.
• Assist with development and implementation of new processes to mitigate financial and operational risk.
