Job summary

The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) seeks a Corporate Officer to provide strategic leadership for governance, corporate administration, records management, access to information and privacy. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will advise the Board and senior staff to ensure transparent, accountable governance across the organization.

This role ensures statutory obligations are met, supports decision-making, and helps deliver local government services across the CVRD’s

Qualifications

• Experience in governance and legislative requirements.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities in a public sector setting.
• Knowledge of records management, privacy and access to information processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert governance guidance to the Board, Committees and Commissions.
• Lead legislative governance, corporate administration and privacy/democratic processes.
• Ensure organizational compliance and risk management across corporate services.
