Job summary

The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is seeking a Manager of Development Planning to lead current land use planning and development application services for its electoral areas.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership in reviewing complex subdivisions, rezonings, Official Community Plan amendments, and policy reviews, ensuring alignment with regional objectives and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of current land use planning and development application services for the CVRD’s electoral areas.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership in the review and administration of complex development applications.
• Represent the regional district in legal proceedings and hearings as required.
• Collaborate with developers, residents, government agencies, Indigenous partners, and stakeholders to address complex planning matters.
