Job summary

Ernestine's Women's Shelter is seeking a strategic Director of Development and Partnerships to elevate fundraising from a +$700K base to a multi‑million revenue approach. You will shape strategy, cultivate transformational donors, and build government relationships to support shelter, housing, and services for survivors of gender-based violence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of progressively senior fundraising leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success securing major gifts and philanthropic investments.
• Experience integrating fundraising with government relations and grant reporting.
• Excellent donor stewardship, proposal development and reporting skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build donor-centered strategies.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and fundraising platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute diversified fundraising strategy to grow revenue.
• Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Lead donor engagement, stewardship, and communications across channels.
• Oversee grants, proposals, reporting, and relationships with funders.
• Collaborate with Executive Director, Board, and partners to expand public funding opportunities.
• Manage annual fundraising plans, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Represent Ernestine’s at events, meetings, and in the media.
