Director of Finance for our client in St. John's, NL, is a hands-on leadership role overseeing multiple operating and holding companies. You will drive strategic planning, cash flow management, and financial reporting, collaborating with senior leadership on growth and acquisitions.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation, with several years of senior finance leadership across multi-entity structures, and strong financial analysis and ERP systems experience.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or equivalent with senior finance leadership experience.
• Several years of progressive accounting and finance leadership.
• Experience overseeing accounting across multiple entities or business units.
• Strong financial analysis and business valuation skills; acquisitions experience is a plus.
• Strong systems aptitude with ERP implementations or improvements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to operate strategically and hands-on in a growing organization.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the financial management of multiple operating and holding companies.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight of the accounting and finance functions.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against objectives.
• Oversee daily cash flow management and provide cash flow projections.
• Provide financial advice and insights to support business and investment decisions.
• Support growth strategy across existing and new businesses.
• Prepare and assist with financial analysis and valuations of potential acquisition targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, auditors, legal counsel, and other professional advisors.
• Direct accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assess existing financial systems and oversee new system implementations as required.
• Lead, develop, and retain a capable accounting and finance team.
