Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior finance role with a non-profit organization.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
• Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• A problem solver able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while managing competing priorities effectively.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and commitment to ethical business practices.
• Bilingualism (French and English) considered an asset.
• Experience with government grants is considered an asset.
• Past experience with a Canadian broadcaster an asset.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial entries and adherence to internal controls.
• Monthly adjusting/accrual entries and working papers.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements for senior management and Board of Director reports.
• Coordination, preparation and presentation of budget and financial forecasts and analysis.
• Cash flow management.
• Track KPIs.
• Identify and assess new business opportunities and develop strategies to attract new sources of revenues.
• Year-end statement preparation and regulatory financial reporting.
• Audit preparation and liaison with external accounting review firm for year-end audit.
• Contract negotiation, compliance, corporate insurance and legal matters.
• Collaborate with legal counsel to review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Identify and assess new business opportunities.
• Develop strategies to attract new sources of revenue.
