Job summary

Argus Group seeks a Controller to join at the Boundary Bay Airport office in Delta, BC. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the Finance department, oversee accounting operations, and manage budgeting, forecasting, and audits across multiple entities.

You will refine accounting processes, strengthen controls, and drive performance with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset in a dynamic multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 3–4 years of progressive experience in a senior finance or accounting leadership role.
• Extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Proven experience managing external audits by public accounting firms.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, journal entries, banking, AP/AR, fixed assets, FX, and statutory reporting.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Present monthly/quarterly/annual financial results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Partner with operations to improve processes, costings and margins.
• Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain knowledge of CRA, WCB, ISO 9001, and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls with the CFO.
