North Shore Mi’kmaq Tribal Council in Natoaganeg, NB invites applications for the Director of Technical Services. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior role provides strategic leadership and oversees a diverse portfolio of technical programs supporting member communities.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field is required.
• Seven+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in technical services, infrastructure, or related fields.
• Five+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple programs and priorities within a complex organization.
• Strong financial and resource management experience including budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with strategic planning, change management and continuous improvement.
• Ability to build teams, mentor staff and foster a respectful workplace culture.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with First Nation communities and Indigenous partners is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across NSMTC's Technical Services portfolio.
• Lead and mentor Program Managers, set clear expectations and development opportunities.
• Translate strategic priorities into department plans and measurable results.
• Develop and evaluate the Technical Services strategic plan.
• Oversee budgets, funding, forecasting, and resource allocation in collaboration with Finance.
• Ensure oversight of funding agreements and reporting requirements.
• Identify and manage operational, financial, and reputational risks.
