Job summary

Groupe Dynamite Inc. in Montréal seeks a Sourcing Specialist to manage production calendars and collaborate with stakeholders to meet delivery schedules.

Reporting to the Director, Sourcing, you will establish supplier strategies, plan capacity, negotiate costs and ensure quality and compliance across denim sourcing and apparel production. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to influence product development from concept to retail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, fashion marketing/design or related field.
• 7-9 years of import/production experience in apparel industry.
• Extensive denim sourcing and production experience with knowledge of denim development, costing, wash and bulk production.

Responsibilities

• Establish the business unit sourcing strategy with Director support and adhere to it.
• Determine monthly capacity plans for suppliers and manage variances.
• Ensure timelines (Time & Action) are created and adhered to by suppliers.
• Ensure suppliers meet quality and compliance standards.
• Ensure suppliers’ capability to produce merchandise for required delivery date.
• Analyze cost breakdowns from suppliers and negotiate final price.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Source new fabrics and negotiate fabric costs.
• Review all tech packages and ensure accuracy of details.
• Communicate daily with suppliers overseas.
• Provide guidance to the Import Coordinator.
