Job summary

One Net is seeking a motivated agency copywriter with a background in persuasive, conversion-oriented copywriting and creative strategy. You’ll craft copy for websites, videos, ads, and marketing materials for software, gaming, and travel brands.

You’ll collaborate in concepting sessions, conduct user interviews, and perform competitive research to inform compelling narratives and IA, while ensuring deliverables meet timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• College or university diploma or degree in Business, Psychology, English, or another Humanities
• A command of the English language
• Proven ability to adhere to brand and voice guidelines
• Ability to quickly learn and understand technical software products
• A disciplined approach to managing your own projects
• Attention to detail and immaculate file organization
• A basic understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO)
• Experience working inside of content management systems
• Experience in keyword research and a basic understanding of on-page SEO
• Knowing when to apply the old Oxford Comma

Responsibilities

• Contribute headline and copy ideas in creative concepting sessions
• Conduct client and customer interviews to inform content strategy and sales narrative for websites, videos, and ad campaigns
• Perform competitor and audience research
• Study Google Analytics and heat mapping tools to inform IA and content strategy
• Perform SEO keyword research
• Create sitemaps and IA diagrams
• Write persuasive conversion-oriented copy for web pages
• Write copy for marketing materials such as sales presentations and pitch decks
• Write long-form content like blog posts and case studies
• Participate in the website content QA process
• Write scripts for video ads and product explainer videos
• Manage priorities to meet project timelines and due dates
• Communicate dependencies or missing assets well in advance to avoid delays
