Job summary

Yara Belle Plaine is seeking a Contract Specialist to manage end-to-end contracts for goods and services, including negotiations, supplier management, and compliance with policies and regulations.

The role requires several years in contract management within heavy industry, plus proficiency in SAP and MS Office. This on-site plus hybrid position supports major maintenance and capital projects with a strong focus on safety and cost control.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in contract management, procurement, or commercial roles.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and risk management skills.
• Knowledge of commercial law, procurement, and supplier prequalification.
• Experience with industrial maintenance, turnarounds or capital projects.
• Analytical and financial acumen with stakeholder management ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of contracts for goods and services (sourcing, negotiation, renewal, amendments, closeout).
• Prepare bids, scopes of work, and commercial evaluations aligned with safety and risk controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, procurement, legal, contractors and suppliers on sourcing strategies.
