Job summary

NAV CANADA is seeking a Manager, Contracting and Procurement to lead procurement programs, implement strategic sourcing and drive compliant contracting practices across the organization. You will oversee a team of procurement professionals, negotiate high-stakes agreements, and influence budgets and supplier relationships to meet NAV CANADA’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in the areas of Contracting and Procurement.
• Extensive experience in leading negotiations of complex, high-visibility agreements with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in managing a team of procurement professionals.
• Knowledge of contract law, standard contract terms & conditions, taxation, insurance and risk management principles.
• Experience analyzing contracting and procurement matters and communicating advice to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Influence category strategies to address evolving business needs and align with organizational objectives.
• Oversee major and complex initiatives, provide contracting expertise, build relationships and ensure delivery of procurement services.
• Develop innovative solutions to conflicting priorities and interests of stakeholders.
• Evaluate contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions by internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Lead improvements to procurement processes and governance frameworks and act as trusted advisor on procurement practices.
