Job summary

Canadian Natural in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Sourcing and Contracting Specialist (End-to-End) to lead supplier contracts strategy for our operations and projects across Canada.

You will partner with stakeholders and legal terms to develop best-in-class sourcing solutions, negotiate complex contracts up to $50 MM, manage risk, and drive cost efficiencies through data‑driven insights. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and a strong commercial mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Law, or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive sourcing and contracting experience in energy or related industries.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts up to $50 MM; knowledge of contract law and regulations.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to challenge status quo and drive value.
• Ability to analyze macroeconomic market trends and translate into strategic actions.
• Experience managing an SRM program with KPIs and continuous improvement.
• CSCP or CPSM certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives to maximize value and manage risk.
• Clarify requirements early; deliver high-quality sourcing solutions through stakeholder management.
• Represent Canadian Natural as a trusted commercial partner in supplier engagements.
• Use data-driven analysis and market intelligence to generate insights and opportunities.
• Develop executive-level communications distilling complex information into actionable recommendations.
• Lead contract formation and administration to maximize value and mitigate risk.
• Drive supplier performance and relationship management, resolving complex disputes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
