Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum of three years of commercial credit analysis or accounts receivable experience.
• Direct experience assessing creditworthiness of business customers.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, cash flow and aging reports.
• Experience using Dun & Bradstreet or Equifax Business.
• Credit insurance administration and reporting experience is preferred.
• Experience with bank reporting or operating lines of credit is an asset.
• Experience in steel, metals, manufacturing, or transportation is an asset.
• Sage or comparable ERP system experience is preferred.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Review credit applications for new and existing commercial customers.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, payment history and credit reports.
• Pull and interpret credit reports using Dun & Bradstreet and Equifax Business.
• Recommend credit limits, payment terms and risk mitigation measures.
• Conduct ongoing credit reviews and monitor changes in customers' position.
• Maintain accurate customer credit files and supporting docs.
• Prepare monthly exposure reports and insurance documentation.
• Monitor overdue insured accounts and assist with claims.
• Develop and maintain commercial credit policies and controls.
