Job summary

Assiniboine Credit Union Ltd is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Finance division, steer merger integration, and support strategic priorities with strong governance and risk management. The role reports to the President & CEO and collaborates with the Board and senior leadership to advance ACU’s values-based banking and triple bottom line objectives.

Ideal candidates bring a CPA/CA or equivalent designation, a minimum of 10 years cross‑functional experience, and proven

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of cross‑functional experience, with at least 5 years at a senior leadership level.
A recognized accounting designation is required.
Reading, writing and oral skills in both official languages (English and French) are an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership across Finance, corporate real estate and facilities management, and environment sustainability.
Develop strategic plans, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Partner with the Board and committees; advise on policy development and governance.
Oversee merger readiness, integration, and cultural alignment across the organization.
