Job summary

IMP Group in Halifax, Nova Scotia, seeks a strategic CFO to guide financial stewardship, capital allocation, and risk management across its diverse portfolio of industries. This executive role reports to the President and CEO and serves as a trusted advisor to the Board.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing finance organization, drive sustainable growth, strengthen governance, and partner with business unit leaders to support long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required and MBA considered an asset.
• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership in complex organizations.
• Experience with multi-entity portfolios, capital allocation, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate finance, accounting, treasury, tax, FP&A, and internal controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting accuracy.
• Partner with the CEO, Board, and executives on strategic investments and risk.
• Drive governance, compliance, and performance across the portfolio.
