Job summary

The National Autism Network in Canada seeks a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic and operational leadership for a remote-first, federally funded initiative. The CEO will advance the organization’s mission through inclusive engagement, advocacy, and systemic change.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee day-to-day operations, drive financial stability, cultivate national partnerships, and ensure the Network’s impact is realized across sectors.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience, preferably in the non-profit or community sector.
• Deep understanding of autism, neurodiversity, and lived experiences.
• Lived experience as Autistic person is considered an asset.
• Experience managing fully remote teams using inclusive management practices.
• Familiarity with non-profit governance structures and working with a Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership across all areas of the Network’s operations, aligning with mission and Board priorities.
• Lead high-level strategic and multi-year organizational planning for sustainability and growth.
• Establish organizational systems and performance measures.
• Engage regularly with the Board and committees, supporting governance input.
• Attract and retain a skilled, fully remote team with passion for the mission.
• Foster an inclusive culture with ethical practices and accountability.
