Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Category Specialist to help develop and optimize category strategies for Specialty Services across multi-site operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in a related discipline with 6+ years in procurement, sourcing, category management, or contract/supplier management.
• Experience supporting complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and stakeholder engagement across multiple sites or a matrixed organization.
• Strong quantitative analysis, market intelligence, and data-driven recommendation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development, execution, and continuous improvement of category strategies for Specialty Services.
• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, operationalize sourcing outcomes, and manage change.
• Conduct spend analysis, market research, supplier assessments, and should-cost modelling to guide decisions.
• Lead or assist RFI/RFP/RFQ events, supplier evaluation, and negotiation planning.
• Support supplier relationship management, including performance reviews and KPI tracking.
• Assist with contract formation, renewal planning, and lifecycle management with Legal and business stakeholders.
