Job summary

Nordock Inc., part of the ASSA ABLOY group, seeks a Buyer to stabilize supply chain operations and ensure inventory meets production lead times. You will partner with operations to optimize materials, lead times, and costs while improving processes and tools.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in supply chain planning, make-to-stock and make-to-order experience, and strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills. ERP LN experience is a plus. Salary range CAD 64,000–75,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; 3–5 years of supply chain planning experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to draw information from multiple sources and provide recommendations.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review manufacturing needs and generate or release orders to meet customer and forecast demand; issue PO requests and track receipt.
• Track, monitor and expedite part shortages; report delivery reliability misses and impact on production.
• Coordinate with Planning Manager and Engineering/Quality to resolve material issues and quality problems.
• Execute purchase orders across multiple commodities; manage supplier performance and inventory turns KPI.
• Support outsourcing for special requirements and maintain shop tooling supplies; back-up for serial number creation for equipment.
