Job summary

Appficiency Inc. is seeking a Strategic Business Consultant I to partner with clients and translate business processes into cloud-based NetSuite solutions.

You will collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders across time zones to scope, design, and deliver projects from discovery through implementation. Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in professional services, experience with SAAS and ERP/CRM implementations, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in professional services or consulting in ERP/CRM/ecommerce.
• Experience with SAAS implementations and IT software projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience on the NetSuite platform is highly recommended.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Ability to map client pain points to solution options and approaches.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.
• Construction background and Vancouver residency are preferred.

• Assist senior consultants in providing exceptional support to clients and project teams.
• Collaborate with a senior consultant to understand, validate, and document client business requirements, mapping them to NetSuite functionality.
• Contribute to requirements gathering, documentation, NetSuite buildout and validation/demos, testing, and user training.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Appficiency's project delivery methodology.
• Regularly engage with senior executives and functional leaders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Become proficient in the NetSuite application and its capabilities.
• Support clients in the design and implementation of their enterprise architecture.
• Participate in the design, build, and testing of system integrations between clients' business systems.
• Assist in the ongoing maintenance and management of integration projects to ensure long‑term success.

The Opportunity

As a Strategic Business Consultant I, you will partner with clients to understand their business processes and translate those needs into practical, cloud-based solutions, collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and client stakeholders to scope, design, and deliver projects. You will adapt quickly to the unique challenges each engagement presents, applying creative problem-solving while communicating clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues across diverse cultures and time zones. Your role spans the full project lifecycle — from discovery through implementation — contributing both business and technical insight, and you will continuously build your knowledge of best practices and emerging technology to bring added value to every client engagement.

What You’ll Do

• Assist senior consultants in providing exceptional support to clients and project teams.

What You’ll Bring

• 1-2 years in a professional services, functional or technical consulting role preferably in an Enterprise Resource Planning, CRM or e‑commerce space
• Experience with Software As A Service (SAAS), IT, software or specific business model (i.e. distribution, manufacturing, retail, media & advertising) implementations
• A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Software Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience on the NetSuite platform is highly recommended
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining profitable and referenceable customer relationships
• Ability to think strategically and align client business pain points to solution options and implementation approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment and deal with changing priorities
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies
• Travel to client locations as needed.
