General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada is seeking a Manager, AI Governance & Risk to lead the enterprise AI governance program, balancing innovation with risk and regulatory requirements. You will partner with leaders across IT, Legal, Privacy, Data and Analytics to ensure AI solutions deliver business value while meeting security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in AI governance, technology governance, cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, or related disciplines.
• Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, and enterprise controls.
• Strong understanding of modern AI technologies (Gen AI, LLMs, Agentic AI).
• Experience conducting risk assessments and translating requirements into controls.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise AI Governance Framework and SOPs.
• Establish scalable governance model for GenAI, ML, and Intelligent Automation.
• Provide strategic guidance on AI governance and regulatory developments.
• Lead AI risk assessments for new and existing AI systems and use cases.
• Maintain AI risk registers and remediation tracking.
• Create governance templates, playbooks, and guidance materials.
• Define human oversight, explainability, security, and privacy governance requirements.
• Build self-service governance for low-risk use cases.
