Job summary

Cada Partners seeks a skilled sales professional to effectively prospect, qualify, and close deals with startups in need of funding. Responsibilities

  • Identify 'grantable' startups via VC networks and accelerator cohorts.
  • Negotiate and close deals with startups, manage objections based on benchmark data.
  • Refine messaging and share win-stories weekly with leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Prospect & Qualify : Identify “grantable” startups via VC networks, accelerator cohorts, and curated outbound lists.
  • Run High-Impact Discovery & Demo : Translate complex funding programs (SBIR, SR&ED, ARPA-I, etc.) into board-level ROI.
  • Handle Pricing & Compliance Objections : Use benchmark data and legal precedents to justify our pricing model—no discount crutches.
  • Negotiate & Close : Own the deal from first touch to signature, then hand off to our Grant writing team.
  • Refine the Playbook : A / B new messaging, share win-stories, and iterate weekly with leadership.

  • Data-Driven Objection Handling – You counter “success-based only” with facts, not concessions.
  • Hunter Mentality – Empty pipeline makes you itchy; you self-source relentlessly.

You’ll Thrive Here If You Have

  • 2–5 yrs quota-carrying success in B2B SaaS, financial services, or grant consulting (show your numbers).
  • Either proven grant-funding expertise (Big 4 incentives team, boutique grant shop, etc.) or evidence you learn technical domains in
  • Track record of leading multi-stakeholder deals (legal, finance, founders) without missing deadlines.
  • CRM discipline and a self-directed approach to hitting targets.
  • Base Salary : $70,000 CAD
  • Commission : 10% commission | OTE : $150k at 100% of quota
  • Development : Ongoing training and professional growth opportunities
