Job summary

Alberta Health Services stores role performing picking, packing, shipping and receiving hospital supplies, equipment and food. Cent. Ctr for MH and Brain Inj location. Casual/Relief position with day shifts and 7.75-hour days.

You will process requisitions, distribute supplies, conduct cart audits, and monitor inventory to prevent overstock, while regularly communicating with stakeholders to ensure correct quantities.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to 275 kg.
• Must be capable of walking and/or standing for long periods.
• Must regularly use hands to lift and carry items up to 25 kg.

Job description

As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with established guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicate frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantities of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.
