The Stores & Distribution Attendant utilizes computerized applications and performs stores and distribution activities for a multi-site operation. Operates a two-axle vehicle and a variety of powered equipment and carts. Resolves most problems independently, referring more complex or difficult problems to a supervisor.
What you'll do
- Organizes and prioritizes internal requisitions from several sites and departments, maintaining related records by completing paperwork and keying data for recording inventory supply levels, internal requisitions and pick lists, including data entry into a computerized system.
- Maintains the cart top-up system by checking supply levels, entering requisition data, and replenishing carts or trolleys as required.
- Receives, unpacks, and checks incoming goods, ensuring delivery specifications are met, and completes related paperwork.
- Maintains inventory records and labels for carts, trolleys, and shelves, updating data as directed.
- Loads and transports supplies and equipment within designated areas, sites, and departments.
- Returns damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers and completes documentation.
- Delivers, picks up, ships, and transports supplies and equipment, operating vehicles and powered equipment, and completing necessary documentation in compliance with WHMIS and TDG regulations.
- Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles and equipment, maintaining logs and recommending repairs as needed.
- Participates in inventory activities and performs other related duties as required.
What you bring
Qualifications
- Grade 12, one year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license.
- Knowledge of Indigenous impacts on social and health contexts, including a commitment to eradicate Indigenous-specific racism and embed Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility.
- Understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments related to Indigenous rights and anti-racism efforts.

- Understanding of Indigenous-specific and systemic racism, with initiatives to promote a safe, inclusive environment.
- Awareness of the social, economic, and political realities affecting Indigenous Peoples and equity groups, with knowledge of relevant legislative documents.
