We are seeking a reliable and organised Storeman to manage the inventory, receiving, and dispatch functions within our Central Production Unit (CPU). The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock handling, maintain proper storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable items, and support kitchen production by ensuring timely availability of ingredients and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices
  • Ensure all stock is stored properly (dry, chilled, frozen) following FIFO and food safety standards
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report variances
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory management system
  • Ensure proper labeling, dating, and rotation of all incoming and existing stock
  • Organise and clean storage areas for optimal space utilization and hygiene
  • Prepare and pack orders for kitchen production teams or external outlets
  • Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of daily requisitions
  • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards (e.g., HACCP guidelines)
  • Report any damaged or spoiled goods promptly
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely
  • Keep detailed logs of stock movement and deliveries
  • Work closely with the purchasing, kitchen, and quality control teams
  • Assist in monthly stocktakes and audits
