Job summary

StorageMart Corporation in Canada is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will work with the Regional Manager to grow the business, train staff, and ensure daily tasks run smoothly.

The role requires strong communication, hands-on leadership, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Proficiency in Excel/Word and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or 2 years of college coursework may substitute for part of the required experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Operations: collaborate with Regional Manager to grow business and train staff.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: engage with customers via phone, in person, and email to drive sales.
• Manage Daily Operations & Administration: handle reports, accounts, and site administration; ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain Facility Standards: open/close site; keep it clean, safe, and presentable.
• Perform Facility Support tasks: basic repairs, maintenance, outdoor work, and coordinate vendors.

Pay: $21.00 (per hour)

Car Allowance: $500/month

As a Store Manager, you will:

• Support Store Operations: Collaborate with the Regional Manager to enhance business growth and maximize sales. Follow up on leads (online, phone, and walk-ins). Provide on-site guidance to staff, including assisting, tasking, and training team members.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Engage with customers through phone, face-to-face, and email interactions, ensuring they feel valued and supported while driving strong sales performance.
• Manage Daily Operations & Administration: Oversee day-to-day operations including collections, account management, and site administration. Prepare required daily, weekly, and monthly reports and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain Facility Standards: Open, operate, and close the site while maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment. Ensure overall site presentation and operational standards are consistently upheld.
• Facility Support Responsibilities:
  • Utilize hand and power tools (drills, grinders, etc.) safely and effectively
  • Complete minor repairs to gates, doors, fences, and buildings
  • Perform preventative maintenance on site infrastructure
  • Conduct basic plumbing repairs (e.g., replacing faucets, fixing leaks)
  • Complete minor asphalt and concrete patchwork
  • Assist with unit cleanouts, including furniture breakdown and debris removal
  • Coordinate external vendors for larger maintenance or repair jobs
  • Maintain and service seasonal equipment (e.g., snow blowers, salters)
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions

What We’re Looking For:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree or at least 2 years of college coursework may substitute for part of the required experience

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (management, sales, customer service, maintenance)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to quickly learn new software systems
