Job Summary

Oversee Optimum Retail Store locations, ensuring sales, productivity, accuracy, quality, and sales goals are met through mentoring, coaching, and engaging with employees and customers. Handle escalated customer concerns, maintain composure, resolve difficult situations, and follow up to ensure positive outcomes. Ensure consistent application of all store policies, processes, and practices to provide superior customer service. Optimize staffing levels to improve service, support business processes, and ensure compliance. Assist in developing a retail sales staff capable of supporting multiple products. Perform administrative, coaching, and mentoring duties necessary to lead and maintain a high-quality retail sales team.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor retail staff performance and provide feedback to ensure customer satisfaction, identifying training needs and workload requirements.
  2. Oversee accurate cash handling, including training staff and conducting audits.
  3. Ensure the competency and continuity of qualified Retail Sales Agents through effective training, motivation, coaching, and recognition.
  4. Conduct quality service monitoring in line with company policies.
  5. Maintain employee data and payroll/attendance records.
  6. Ensure timely and accurate store openings and closings.
  7. Assist with expense control, including overtime, T&E, and departmental expenditures.
  8. Report cash variances of $100 or more to management and conduct disciplinary actions as needed.
  9. Participate in department meetings and conference calls.
  10. Communicate sales goals clearly to staff and monitor performance daily.
  11. Develop and implement retail sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  12. Maximize customer interactions to exceed growth and profit objectives.
  13. Drive sales of Optimum products and services while ensuring operational efficiency for maximum profitability.
  14. Ensure planograms and merchandising displays meet company standards.
  15. Partner with other channels to increase store traffic and participate in events for location awareness.
  16. Travel to alternate store locations as needed.
  17. Manage performance, attendance, and training of staff.
  18. Assist with hiring, performance reviews, and improvement plans for underperforming staff.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Business preferred; High School diploma required; minimum five years of related sales experience.
  • Three years in a high-volume customer service/sales/retail environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong supervisory skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivation.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within 35 miles.
  • Excellent listening, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 35 pounds.
