Job summary

Kiokii Inc. in Ottawa is opening a new Bayshore store and is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations and deliver outstanding customer service with strong product knowledge. You will oversee scheduling, staff development, and performance while driving sales and ensuring standards are met.

You will manage inventory, budgeting, marketing initiatives, and onboarding, with a focus on a fast-paced retail environment and Asian beauty trends. The role requires lifting up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
• 5 years of retail experience, including at least 2 years in a store management position.
• Passionate about the Asian beauty industry and trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership and store operation capabilities.
• Experience in inventory management and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations by scheduling shifts, assigning duties, organizing meetings, and managing team calendars.
• Lead team to drive sales and meet targets by ensuring exceptional in-store customer experience.
• Develop, implement, and execute marketing strategies to enhance sales and performance.
• Design and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and standards for consistency and efficiency.
• Analyze market trends and forecast sales, providing insights for head office reporting.
• Document sales and revenue for head office reporting.
• Monitor customer service standards, address complaints, and escalate issues when needed.
• Recruit and onboard new hires with on-site training.
• Motivate staff to maintain high morale and deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure accurate stock management and optimize product availability.
• Source and liaise with head office and suppliers; oversee weekly restocking and budgeting.
• Support store openings and setup; perform additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

As a Store Manager, you will lead the team to provide top tier customer service with outstanding product knowledge to all clients and maximize sales. Including but not limited to…

• Oversee daily store operations by scheduling shifts, assigning duties, organizing meetings, and managing team calendars
• Lead team to drive sales and meet targets by ensuring exceptional in-store customer experience, all while adhering to company standards and best practices
• Develop, implement, and execute marketing strategies designed to enhance sales and overall performance
• Design and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and standards to ensure operational consistency and efficiency
• Analyze market research and trends to assess consumer demand, forecast potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors’ activities on sales, providing insights for head office reporting
• Document sales and revenue for head office reporting
• Monitor and enhance the store's customer service standards and staff performance, promptly address customer complaints, and **escalate** issues to higher management when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new hires by conducting interviews and providing on-site training
• Motivate and engage staff to uphold high morale and deliver exceptional customer service, fostering a positive and productive store environment
• Ensure accurate stock management by monitoring inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing product availability
• Source and liaise with head office and suppliers, monitor budgets effectively, and oversee weekly product restocking to ensure optimal inventory levels
• Support with store opening and setup
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field
• A strong track record with 5 years of retail experience, including at least 2 years in a store management position
• Passionate about the Asian beauty industry, dedicated to continuous learning, sharing expertise, and staying up to date with the latest products and trends to leadstaff and enhance the customer experience
• Skilled in effective communication and building strong interpersonal relationships
• Demonstrated strong leadership and store operation capabilities
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
• Ability to analyze sales reports, market trends, and customer behavior
• Experience in inventory management and stock control
• Familiar with retail operations, including sales, merchandising, and customer service
• Proficient in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control for head office oversight
• Adept at developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and enhance performance
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.
