Job summary

Vast-Auto Distribution is seeking a store leadership professional to direct a team of specialists and ensure prompt, courteous service to walk-in customers. You will drive sales, manage staffing, and collaborate with management to optimize pricing, merchandising, and profitability.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in the automotive industry, strong people management skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales by directing team members to provide prompt, courteous service.
• Solicit orders and represent the company per policies.
• Increase sales within assigned accounts and solicit stocking programs and equipment sales.
• Supervise work of all team members.
• Collaborate with District Manager on hiring, evaluation, promotion, and termination of staff.
• Partner with Sales and Pricing to establish pricing levels for installers and walk-in customers.
• Maximize gross profit on outside purchases.
• Monitor price overrides and matches for profitability and policy compliance.
• Schedule staffing levels to optimize service and profitability.
• Review and approve team hours daily.
• Ensure training across areas for all team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Keep store organized per company policies.
• Communicate via email, notes, worksheets to support operations.
• ProvideInventory Control with stock adjustment reports.
• Implement planogram changes and merchandising plans.

Job description

MainResponsibilities

• Maximize sales by directing team members, including Parts Specialists, in a manner that provides walk-in customers with prompt, courteous, and professional service.
• Solicit orders, sell company products, and represent the company in accordance with company policies.
• Keeping existing customers, increase sales volume within assigned accounts, assess customer needs to gain market share, and solicit stocking programs, daily requirements, and equipment sales.
• Supervise the work performed by all team members.
• Work collaboratively with the District Manager in recruiting, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and terminating team members under his/her supervision.
• Partner with the Sales and Pricing Departments to establish appropriate pricing levels for installers and walk-in customers.
• Maximize gross profit on outside purchases.
• Monitor noncompetitive price overrides and price matches to ensure policy compliance and overall profitability.
• Schedule appropriate staffing levels to ensure optimal customer service and profitability.
• Review and approve team members’ hours daily.
• Work directly with the assistant management team to ensure all team members receive proper training in all areas.
• Complete team member performance evaluations.
• Ensure the store is organized and operating in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
• Communicate consistently via email, notes, worksheets, and other tools to support efficient operations.
• Provide the Inventory Control Department with accurate and timely stock adjustment reports.
• Implement all planogram changes and merchandising plans as outlined on the To-Do List.

Qualifications
