Job Description

Position Purpose: To provide customer service, sort incoming products, and support retail operations at The Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Operations: Greet customers/donors, assist with sales and donations, manage store layout and displays, handle transactions accurately, and ensure store security and cleanliness.
  2. Health and Safety: Maintain a safe environment, assist with store cleanliness, and comply with health and safety policies.

Additional duties include managing inventory, assisting donors, and supporting store safety protocols.

Relationships

Interactions primarily with store staff, volunteers, donors, customers, and vendors.

Reporting

Reports to the Store Manager; no direct reports.

Material and Financial Responsibilities

Handle store assets responsibly; no financial transactions involved.

Working Conditions

Part-time, flexible schedule including weekdays and Saturdays. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

High school coursework or equivalent; experience in customer service, cash handling, and working with goods preferred. Must be physically capable of lifting and moving products, and willing to support the mission of The Salvation Army.

Regina North Central Thrift Store, 840 Albert Street, Regina, SK.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $15.00. Placement based on experience and qualifications. Reasonable accommodations available upon request.
