Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Game Facilitator. Key aspects of this position involve facilitation of the games, assisting customers at check-in, and ongoing upkeep of games and the facility. This job is dependent on an individual’s ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and confidence in social situations. This is a full-time position at our Regina store on 2550 Quance St E.

The Duties and Responsibilities:
Game Facilitation
  1. Be professional in thought, language, and action
  2. Exemplify excellence in facilitation, giving customers a great experience
  3. Brief new groups thoroughly but concisely prior to the start of their experience
  4. Observe customers in the gaming area and provide an explanation, if necessary
  5. Participate with customers in games if needed to ensure they have an excellent experience
  6. Monitor and be attentive to gameplay, giving timely aid as necessary
  7. Handle any malfunctions with the support of the Team Leads
  8. Maintain a clean and comfortable work environment
Check-In Facilitation
  1. Warmly greet customers when entering or leaving the establishment
  2. Verify appointment times and explain the check-in process
  3. Handle cash, debit, credit, or gift card transactions with customers
  4. Issue receipts and wristbands
  5. Answer customer inquiries and involve a Team Lead if the answer is not sufficient
Facility Maintenance
  1. Clean facility and washrooms as needed: dusting, vacuuming, using cleaning supplies, etc.
  2. Paint around the main facility as needed
  3. Aid Team Lead in checking inventory of merchandise
  4. Reset and disinfect wristbands
  5. Clean and disinfect available lockers and lounge
  6. Notify Team Leads immediately of game failures or malfunctions
  7. Touch up equipment; glue props, and perform other unskilled tasks
The Qualifications:
  1. 1 year of customer service experience is considered an asset
  2. Must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  3. Strong communication skills, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  4. Must be a people person - energetic, friendly and outgoing, with the ability to command attention in a crowd of people
  5. Must be willing to work various shifts starting as early as 9 a.m. and ending as late as 1 a.m. (leaders will work within given availability)
