About The Role

We are currently looking for friendly, outgoing, and customer service-driven individuals to join our team as Part Time Sales Associates at our Ace Liquor store in Beaumont.

Primary Purpose of Job

Provide exemplary customer service to every person who walks into our store, understand customer needs, and instill a customer mindset within the store, participates in stocking and merchandising of the store; ensuring the store is stocked and ready to serve our customers.

Essential Business Functions, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

People Skills

1. Customer service driven, friendly, willing to talk to all customers
2. Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times

Customer Offering

1. Deliver exemplary customer service
2. Greet customers when they enter the store and take customers to products when required
3. Generate sales by educating, advising, and suggesting products to every customer
4. Maintain a high level of service and product knowledge by completing all training within the required timeline
5. Assist customers from the store and/or offer car service when appropriate
6. Complete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device, including payment
7. Ensure all cash handling policies & procedures are adhered to
8. Ensure all opening & closing procedures are done correctly (when applicable)
9. Complete end of day till reports (when applicable)
10. Ensure safe is locked at all times and deposits are secured (when applicable)

Day to Day Operations

1. Perform all opening and closing procedures (when applicable)
2. Stock shelves and cooler with product
3. Participate in merchandising and promotional activities
4. Participate in routine store maintenance and cleaning
5. Other tasks as assigned

Regulatory Adherence

1. Ensure that OHS, LP, ProServe/Serving It Right and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to
2. Participate in health inspections, audits, and required corrective actions
3. Maintain First-Aid, LP and OHS Training
4. Maintain ProServe/Serving It Right and ensure employees maintain ProServe/Serving It Right
5. Ensure AGLC/BC LRS and other government guidelines are met
6. Adhere to all SNDL Inc. policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility

Qualifications

Work Experience

Minimum, 1-year experience in a retail environment

Education

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. ProServe/Serving It Right Certification
3. First-Aid Certificate is considered an asset
4. Training in wine/beer/spirits (preferred, not required)

Other Skills and Capabilities

1. Effective teamwork skills
2. Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
3. Must be able to pass a Background Check
4. Must have access to reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

1. Available to work a varied retail schedule, including evenings and weekends
2. Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
3. Able to stand for an extended period
4. Robbery and shoplifting – psychological stress, violence, and harassment
