Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a Storage Platform Engineer in Montreal to join their elite team. The successful candidate will work on design, deployment, and support of complex, distributed Storage platforms. Key responsibilities include architectural work around high throughput solutions and automating Storage for optimal performance.

Ideal candidates will have strong Storage experience, know technologies like NFS and GPFS, and have a solid understanding of Linux. This role offers a chance to work with rapidly expanding enterprise Storage services.

You will work on enterprise Storage services at a rapidly expanding company, including build, design, architectural and support duties.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deployment and support of highly complex, distributed Storage platforms
• Architectural work around high throughput Storage solutions such as NFS, GPFS and WEKA
• Capacity planning and forecasting
• Automating Storage and tuning for optimum performance
• Working on and improving Observability practices for the varied Storage estate

Skills required:

• Strong Storage experience combined with a thorough understanding of Linux
• Experience with technologies such as NFS, GPFS, WEKA, Lustre, Ceph, or comparable
• Configuration Management via Chef or Ansible
• Experience working with a high level programming language (Python / Go / Rust)
• Good understand of CI/CD and the SDLC
• Experience with Observability within Storage (ELK / Datadog / Prometheus / Grafana etc.)
• Cloud based Storage experience (AWS / GCP)
• Cloudian / MinIO / S3
• General Storage hardware (arrays / JBOD’s / NVMe / SSD / HBA’s / Networked Storage)
