Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Go, or C#.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, including controller‑runtime and composition frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
• Strong understanding of system performance, cost optimization, and troubleshooting complex distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior individual contributor within the platform engineering team.
• Design and implement platform capabilities using Kubernetes, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

Job Title: Senior Cloud Platform Developer

Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Developer to help design, build, and evolve a modern cloud-native platform with a strong focus on developer experience, reliability, and automation.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you will operate as a senior individual contributor, working across Kubernetes, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code to deliver scalable platform capabilities. You will play a key role in embedding observability, governance, resilience, and cost efficiency into core systems, enabling product teams to deliver software faster and more safely.

• Act as a senior individual contributor within the platform engineering team, delivering high‑quality cloud‑native solutions.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Go, or C#, including building automation systems, controllers, or operators.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, including controller‑runtime and composition frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
• Experience building or supporting data platforms (e.g., ETL pipelines, streaming, batch processing, or MLOps systems).
• Strong understanding of system performance, cost optimization, and troubleshooting complex distributed systems.
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver projects end‑to‑end.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and influence decisions.

Nice to Have

• Contributions to CNCF open‑source projects (e.g., Kubernetes, Crossplane, ArgoCD, Prometheus).
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, including CRDs, API machinery, and control plane development.
• Experience operating platforms on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with advanced Kubernetes scheduling tools (e.g., Karpenter).
• Experience with observability and distributed tracing tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Strong technical documentation and writing skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
